My apologies.<\/p>\n<p>Emily got back from Vegas. All is once again right and good in the world. Well, in Oberlin, anyway. Ideas escape me tonight. I&rsquo;ll post something cute I wrote a couple weeks ago. A month ago? Time escapes me.<\/p>\n<p>From the Kas journal: a rhyming thingie &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Curse Neitzsche for being so witty,<br \/> Liberace for being so gay.<br \/> Curse Mozart for writing a ditty,<br \/> and Shakespeare for penning a play. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Curse Flaubert for his eloquent diction,<br \/> and Germans, I curse all of them!<br \/> I doubt I could write science fiction<br \/> much better than Stanislaw Lem. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Curse Chopin for every sonata,<br \/> Rachmaninoff for each cantata,<br \/> for goodness curse Saint Liberata,<br \/> be better at something, I gotta! <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>At writing I&rsquo;m just mediocre,<br \/> when singing I sound like a toad.<br \/> When painting I like to use ochre,<br \/> I curse all who&rsquo;re talent &ldquo;Van Gogh&rsquo;ed&rdquo;. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My rhymes are always an earsore,<br \/> my meter is half a beat late.<br \/> Originality, I need a size more,<br \/> my normalcy&rsquo;s all that is great. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Yes, my mundanity&rsquo;s simply fantastic,<br \/> and though it may make me seem spastic,<br \/> I&rsquo;d rather be better than plastic<br \/> at being more normal than you.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Okay, so there&rsquo;s that.
