Getting out of bed is definitely the hard part, since I have to be up and going at 4:30am if I want to get my run in, shower, and get dressed in time for Abby to do the same.<\/p>\n<p>Week one of the C25K program is pretty straightforward. You start with a 5-minute walk, then alternate 60 seconds of jogging with 90 seconds of walking for about 20 minutes, then end with another 5-minute walk. I&#8217;m doing this on the treadmill in our garage, which is a bit strange, but feels like a nice way to start and has the added benefit of tracking mileage and calories burned.<\/p>\n<p>C25K started with <a title=\"Cool Running\" href=\"http:\/\/www.coolrunning.com\/engine\/2\/2_3\/181.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">these guys at Cool Running<\/a>. There are a number of good podcasts out there for the program that include music and cues for when to run \/ walk.
